MA Program

Masters-level Education: Two Fields of Study
Traditionally, the Master's degree builds on knowledge gained during undergraduate study. Following this tradition and building upon an undergraduate foundation in Bible/theology or Christian education, Cape Theological Seminary, in cooperation with Global University (Global School of Theology) offers a Master of Arts degree program with two specializations:

(a) Education and (b) Leadership
These curricula, delivered in a continuing education format, are designed to engage students spiritually, intellectually and emotionally, equipping them to be more effective in the ministry God has given them.

Training the Trainers
Through these programs, CTS trains academically advanced leaders in southern Africa; these leaders will, in turn, train others. This multi-generational view of training (training the trainers) underscores the importance of delivering the very best educational experience possibe, for if the training a student receives is mediocre, he or she will train others in the same inadequate manner. The MA degree offered by Global University at CTS is a high-quality, fully accredited educational experience offered in a continuing education format--a degree program that satisfies both historical and modern standards for postgraduate studies.

In summary, this Master of Arts degree is designed to train busy men and women for successful spiritual ministry within their African cultural context, ministry that is globally relevant. Marvin and Rosie have the priviledge of directing this dynamic, Africa-based degree program.
